Hotone
Hotone Audio is a Chinese maker of guitar effects pedals, multi-effects units and amp modellers, based in Changsha, Hunan. The company was registered in November 2012 and is known for its Ampero multi-effects range and its earlier Skyline mini pedals. The name is pronounced "hot tone".

About Hotone
President Guo Runbo, a gigging guitarist, had been building his own pedals since the 1990s and worked at another effects company before leaving in 2011 to set up Hotone with around ten musician friends. The first products were the compact Skyline pedals, mostly analogue, with side-mounted knobs whose shape inspired the H logo, and the Nano Legacy mini amps. The Xtomp, with a built-in expression pedal, followed in 2015.
Its biggest growth came with the Ampero, the company's first full digital multi-effects and amp-modelling unit, unveiled at a Shanghai trade show in 2018 and sold worldwide from 2019. The smaller Ampero II Stomp followed in 2021 and includes Celestion impulse responses.
