About Electro-Harmonix

Through the late 1960s and 1970s the firm introduced pedals that became widely used reference designs, including the Big Muff Pi fuzz (1969), Small Stone phaser, Electric Mistress flanger and Memory Man delay. After a mid-1980s closure, Matthews rebuilt the brand via Russian manufacturing and later returned pedal production to the United States; since 1998 the company has also supplied vacuum tubes used in guitar and hi-fi amplifiers.

Today the catalogue still includes classic fuzz, delay and modulation circuits alongside newer multi-effect and polyphonic pedals, with headquarters in Long Island City, New York. For players comparing iconic fuzz, octave and analogue delay options, Electro-Harmonix remains a primary historical and current source.
