Released in 2017, the circuit uses operational amplifiers and three gain stages rather than the transistor four-stage layout of most Big Muffs. Volume, Sustain, and Tone cover the usual range, and a Tone Bypass switch removes the tone stack from the circuit. On this reissue the switch keeps output level matched between positions.
Owners typically place this variant as brighter, grittier, and more compressed than the transistor-based Triangle, Ram’s Head, and Green Russian reissues. The Tone Bypass path is a common setting when players want a flatter, louder fuzz wall.
Signal path is mono with true bypass. The pedal is a modern nano reissue of the late-1970s op-amp era, not an original large-box unit.
