EarthQuaker Devices Bellows Fuzz Driver is a two-knob dirt pedal that sits between amp-like overdrive and fuzzy saturation. It is not based on any particular circuit; it is a nod to older non-master-volume amps turned all the way up.

The character of the Drive control changes dramatically across its travel. Lower settings give responsive, dynamic amp-like breakup, the top of the range gives full saturation, and there are useful distorted places in between. It is worth exploring the middle before turning Drive all the way up.
Level adjusts the output volume by setting the bias voltage of the transistor. A small amount of noise while turning it is normal.
The simple circuit leaves the full frequency response of the instrument intact, which makes the pedal usable on bass as well as guitar. Switching is relay-based true bypass, so no audio passes while the pedal has no power.
