BB Preamp V1.5

The pre-gain stage takes the pedal from a clean signal to a smooth, compressed overdrive as Gain rises. With Gain kept low, Volume provides more than 30 dB of clean boost.

Treble and Bass are active controls with up to 15 dB of boost or cut each. Being active, they can add level at their frequencies as well as remove it. The manual centres the bass band at 90 Hz and the treble band at 10 kHz.

The BB Preamp has been in production for more than ten years, and Andy Timmons uses one in both his studio and live rigs. True bypass takes the circuit out of the signal path when the pedal is off.
