Six modes cover Filter Matrix (a fixed comb filter for chime and manual flanging), Flange, Chorus, Slap Back, plus Chorus + Flange and Slap Back + Filter Matrix. Chorus + Flange recreates the parked in-between MODE setting Belew used on his original unit. FEEDBACK, RATE, WIDTH, TUNE, MODE, and VOLUME set intensity, sweep speed and range, centre point, and output level. A rear BLEND switch can mute the dry path so only the processed signal reaches the outputs.
Stereo outputs (MONO/L and R) feed dual-amp setups; summing both outs externally to mono can cancel or weaken the effect. Soft-switch true bypass with mechanical relays also supports optional momentary hold: press-and-hold flips state for half a second or more, then restores on release. That behaviour can be enabled or disabled by powering up with the footswitch held.
Released on 15 September 2026 as a limited signature model. The Echoflanger lineage later appeared under names such as Polyflange and Polychorus; Belew used the original for signature textures including the steel-drum guitar sound on Tom Tom Club's Genius of Love.
