Electro-Harmonix Nano Q-Tron is an envelope filter pedal that sweeps a filter in response to playing dynamics. The design is a compact version of the Micro Q-Tron and continues a line of EHX envelope filters dating back to the 1970s.

The input level, or envelope, controls the cutoff or centre frequency of the filter. Harder picking pushes the sweep further, so results range from subtle movement to pronounced auto-wah.
Drive sets the sweep sensitivity, and Q sets the peak bandwidth of the filter. Vol matches the effect level to the bypassed signal or adds a boost.
A three-way switch selects low-pass, band-pass or high-pass response. Low-pass emphasises the lows, band-pass the midrange and high-pass the highs. The pedal suits guitar, bass, keyboards and horns, and uses true bypass.
