Electro-Harmonix announces Deluxe Big Muff Pi 2 fuzz
Electro-Harmonix has released the Deluxe Big Muff Pi 2 dual-op-amp fuzz with Wicker, Gate, Blend, and footswitchable mids.
Electro-Harmonix has released the Deluxe Big Muff Pi 2 dual-op-amp fuzz, announced in a company post that said the pedal was available.
The Deluxe Big Muff Pi 2 uses the dual-op-amp Big Muff 2 circuit with added shaping tools. Volume, Tone, and Sustain sit alongside Blend for wet/dry mix and an adjustable Gate for noise control when notes stop. A three-way Wicker switch, per EHX, opens Half or Full additional high-frequency filtering above the standard Big Muff 2 top end.
A footswitchable parametric mids section provides Level, Freq (about 310 Hz to 5.0 kHz), and a Hi/Lo Q switch. An EXP jack sweeps Mids Freq from an expression pedal or 0–5 V CV, with the panel Freq knob setting the maximum range. Bypass is buffered, with latching or momentary action on the Effect and Mids footswitches. Enclosure size on the product page is 5.75 × 4.75 × 2.5 in. Current draw is listed at 45 mA, and a 9.6 VDC adapter is included.
