Chase Bliss hides a new analog pedal in this year's Mystery Box
Mystery Box is back, and a quarter of its 10,000 boxes hold a still-unnamed analog Chase Bliss pedal in a box-only colour ahead of its regular release.

Mystery Box is back, and this year Chase Bliss has put something new inside. Of the 10,000 boxes, 2,500 will contain a brand-new analog pedal that the company has not yet named or described. It will join the regular Chase Bliss line-up next year, but the Mystery Box version comes in a limited colour reserved for the boxes.
Chase Bliss says the boxed pedal will be identical to the regular release apart from that colour, and puts the odds of finding one at roughly one in four. It hasn't shared controls or specifications yet. For now the announcement simply calls it the mystery pedal and confirms that it is analog.
What else is in the box
Every box holds at least one Chase Bliss pedal, an artist print and a set of custom dice. The prints come from Scott Campbell, Violet Reed, Dan Black and Eric Nyffeler. In 500 boxes, a bonus Friends of Bliss pedal from a different maker joins the Chase Bliss one, and the company says some of those makers built special runs just for Mystery Box. Ten boxes carry a hand-painted pedal design by local artist Hannah Haugberg.
A small share of boxes will hold B-stock pedals, which the company describes as functionally perfect units with a cosmetic blemish or customer returns. Those boxes get extra goodies and merch, and the details sit in the Mystery Box terms.

Orders are capped at two boxes per household, and Chase Bliss says extra orders will be cancelled. Shipping runs in five zones, shown at checkout, and a tracker tool lets buyers look up an estimated ship window by order number. The Bliss + Mortar shops will also sell a small allocation of boxes in-store, one per customer, and Chase Bliss says online buyers can still pick one up there.
At the time of writing, the Chase Bliss store lists the online allocation as sold out. Chase Bliss walks through the rest in its announcement video.
