Wren and Cuff Mini Series shrinks Tall Font and Fade Font '94
Two Sovtek-era Big Muff recreations land in palm-sized Mini Series boxes with the same USA build and true hard-wire bypass.

Palm-sized Muffs are the point. Wren and Cuff has started a Mini Series with two of its Sovtek-era recreations, the Mini Tall Font Russian and the Mini Fade Font '94. Each squeezes into a box measuring 3.7 × 1.6 × 2 inches, small enough, the maker says, to sit in the palm of your hand.

The Tall Font circuit goes back to the late 2000s and was one of Matt's first replication designs, built from measured component values rather than a schematic alone. Its target is a transitional Tall Font Sovtek-era Big Muff known for low-gain grind, a throaty growl and much lower output than its American ancestors. Wren and Cuff places it somewhere between a Muff and an overdrive, with a milder mid-scoop and enough definition to suit bass. The maker says the Mini keeps all of that tone.
The Fade Font '94 is the louder, more aggressive sibling. It is based on a 1994 Sovtek-era unit with unusual component values, and getting the full-size version right took nearly two years of revisions and measurement. Here the shrink comes with a caveat the maker states openly: a few parts unique to the full-size pedal would not fit, so that one remains the closest match to the original, while the Mini gets "remarkably close" in tone and feel.
Both take a standard 9 V DC centre-negative supply on a 2.1 mm barrel, draw 8 mA, weigh 6.9 oz and use true hard-wire bypass. They are made in the USA and carry the lifetime warranty of the rest of the line. The shop raises the usual micro-pedal worry itself, shrinking quality along with size, and answers it with "Hell no." Both Minis are listed in stock on the Tall Font and Fade Font '94 product pages.
