About Fortin Amplification
Mike Fortin's earlier amp work includes designs for Metallica's Kirk Hammett and the Thrasher series for Randall Amplifiers. The current catalogue spans the Cali and Meshuggah amplifiers, preamp pedals such as the Meshuggah, Kali and NATAS, the Zuul noise gate family, and boosts including the 33 and the 3.33, both built with and for Meshuggah guitarist Fredrik Thordendal.
Several Fortin designs also exist in digital form. Neural DSP, Replicant Audio and Two notes are licensed to recreate specific Fortin products in software, and Synergy Amps is licensed to recreate specific Fortin amps in its modular preamp system.
