About Revv Amplification

The company grew out of a basement prototype amp. Dan Trudeau, an electrical engineer who repaired and modified amps for local guitarists, designed the first Generator to reach a high-gain sound not modelled on any existing amp; Derek Eastveld, first asked to make its faceplate, joined him to start the business. The Dynamis series later added lower-gain, vintage-leaning voicings, and several Revv amps carry Two notes cabinet simulation for direct recording.

The G3 distortion, shown as a prototype at NAMM 2018, distils the high-gain channel of the Generator 120 into a pedal. The range also includes artist signature pedals such as Shawn Tubbs' Tilt Overdrive and utility designs like the G8 noise gate, based on the gate in the Generator 120 MK3.
