About ZVEX Effects

The Fuzz Factory, designed in the autumn of 1995, became the signature product. Its five interacting controls reach from gated fuzz to oscillation. Other designs include the Box of Rock distortion. The Candela Vibrophase is a phaser and vibrato that uses a Stirling engine for modulation.

Early pedals were hand-painted because screen printing was unaffordable at low volumes, and hand-painted and custom-designed pedals remain part of the range. The lower-priced Vexter series uses printed graphics instead. The Vexter Fuzz Factory has the same internal parts as the hand-painted model.
