JHS 3 Series PHERB is a phaser and reverb pedal that runs a dark, lo-fi reverb into a four-stage phaser, with both always active. Released in October 2026, it joins the 3 Series, JHS's compact line of three-knob pedals made in Kansas City.

The reverb is chorused and chunky rather than modelled on a plate, hall or room, and at long decay times it pulses slightly. The phaser follows the vintage Phase 90 approach, but with its feedback left off and its notch sweeps moved higher. The swirl therefore stays clear of the reverb's low mids.
There is no order switch and no balance control between the two effects. The one exception is Speed: fully anticlockwise in normal mode, it steps the phaser out and leaves only the reverb. The BREAK toggle adds an asymmetric bitcrusher with analog-style clipping ahead of both effects. The result is a broken, fuzz-like signal, and the phaser cannot be stepped out in this mode.
Length sets the decay time and the pre-delay together, so longer tails also start later behind the note. The pedal suits ambient, shoegaze and noise playing. Players who want a conventional reverb are better served by the 3 Series Reverb or Hall Reverb in the same line.
