After Thomas Organ stopped making Cry Baby pedals, Dunlop acquired the brand in 1982 and introduced the GCB95 Cry Baby Standard Wah, later expanding the range with models such as the 535Q Multi-Wah. Toward the end of the 1980s Dunlop also resurrected MXR, reissuing classics such as the Phase 90, Distortion+ and Dyna Comp and continuing new designs under that name.
For players researching wah pedals and widely used compact effects, Dunlop’s Cry Baby and MXR catalogues are core reference points.
