Delay times run from 65 to 750 ms with the knob. Connecting an MXR tap tempo switch extends the range to four seconds. Pushing the Volume knob engages Age mode, which gives darker repeats with more saturation and modulation, like a worn unit.
The dry signal stays analogue and runs through Constant Headroom Technology for high clean headroom. The pedal offers true bypass or trails bypass, so repeats can fade out after switching off. A wet-only mode suits parallel setups, and an internal switch selects stereo or mono.
Players can pair it with the EP101 Echoplex Preamp for the coloured front end of the original. Tape-echo fans comparing pedals may also look at the Strymon El Capistan.
