Second-generation hardware keeps the dTape echo engine and adds MIDI, a Class A JFET input stage, USB-C, and lower power draw on an ARM DSP. Tape Head selects fixed, multi, or single machines; Mode picks head spacing, speed, or sound-on-sound looping.

Dedicated Time, Mix, Repeats, Wow & Flutter, Tape Age, and Spring knobs shape echo and a separate spring reverb. Secondary live-edit controls cover tape crinkle, bias, low-end contour, and boost/cut. Tap sets tempo; holding Tap yields infinite repeats.

Mono or stereo TRS input, dual TS outs, and EXP/MIDI cover board and studio routing. Three hundred MIDI presets and MIDI clock sync suit setlist recall. Bypass is relay true bypass or selectable buffered bypass.
