About Eventide
Recording engineer Stephen Katz, inventor Richard Factor and businessman Orville Greene started the company in 1971 beside the Sound Exchange studio on West 54th Street. Early landmarks include the DDL 1745 digital delay, Instant Phaser and the H910 Harmonizer — among the first commercial digital studio effects.
Later lines spanned the H3000 Ultra-Harmonizer, SP2016, Factor and H9 pedals, and today’s H90 Harmonizer multi-effects. Eventide remains an independent American reference for pitch, delay, reverb and modular DSP across studio, broadcast and pedalboard use.
