Electronic Audio Experiments Scattering is a stereo reverb that builds space from networks of tapped delay lines rather than diffuse all-pass smearing.

Released in 2026, it takes the staggered tap ratios of the discontinued MN3011 bucket-brigade chip as a starting point across four modes, then pairs digital processing with a stereo analog preamp, two-pole low-pass filter, and analog VCA wet/dry mix. Space sets reverb time and tap separation; Dwell feeds the reverb into itself and can oscillate in some modes.
Players can treat it as a practical reverb, a modulation-adjacent texture tool, or a stereo processor for guitar, bass, and synth. Assignable LFO, expression morphing between two knob states, 16 presets, and full MIDI cover live and studio recall. TRS stereo I/O sits on a Hammond 1590BB2 footprint.
The maker positions Scattering as a spiritual successor to the discontinued Hypersleep rather than a recreation. Firmware updates arrive over MIDI SysEx.
