Fractal Audio · United States
Amp Modeler · Multi-Effects · Released 24 November 2025
Fractal Audio AM4 is a compact floor amp modeler that brings the amp and effects models of the Axe-Fx III to a pedalboard format. It can work on its own or alongside other pedals and processors.
The amp models are component-level physical models of tubes, transformers and tone stacks. Speaker simulation is built into the amp block, with DynaCab cabinets, visual microphone positioning and support for user impulse responses.
The effects library covers drive pedals, delays, reverbs and many modulation, dynamics, filter and EQ types. Presets hold four blocks and four scenes, and each block has four channels with gapless switching.
Four footswitches work in five modes: presets, scenes, effects, tuner and tempo, and amp mode with a one-tap boost. A stereo insert, S/PDIF, MIDI, headphone output and 4x4 USB audio interface cover studio and stage use.
