Line 6 HX Effects is a pedalboard effects processor that brings Helix effect models to a rig built around a traditional amp. Amp and cab modelling is not included, though third-party impulse responses can be loaded.
Up to nine effects run at the same time. The library combines HX Modeling effects with legacy models from Line 6's M-Series and Stompbox Modeler pedals. Six scribble-strip LCDs name the footswitch assignments, and coloured LED rings show each block's type and state.
Two effects loops, two expression or amp-switching jacks and MIDI let the unit control a whole rig. Up to six MIDI commands can be sent automatically at preset or snapshot recall. The four-cable method places effects before and after an amp's preamp.
Touching a footswitch selects its block, and snapshots switch between variations without a preset gap. A switchable line-level input suits keyboards and studio gear. Analogue bypass routes the signal straight through without conversion.
