Red Witch · New Zealand
Distortion · Octave
The Red Witch Leviatha is a limited-edition distortion pedal with a dialable upper-octave generator. Red Witch says the octave circuit was designed less for the octave itself than for the intermodulation frequencies it creates, reaching into ring-modulator territory, and that it behaves well with chords as well as single notes.

Four knobs cover X (intermodulation and octave amount), Gain, Tone and Master Volume, and an internal slide switch opens up extra low-end. Turned down, X leaves a usable drive pedal; turned up, it adds the octave and intermodulation effects.
Part of Red Witch's Nouveau series of limited editions, the run is capped at 59 units, each hand-built and signed by Ben Fulton with through-hole components, socketed parts, hand wiring and a true bypass footswitch. It runs on 9 V DC.
