Granular processing reads short samples, called grains, from a delay buffer. The Fable can replay those grains backward, at double or half speed, or from several positions at once. The X knob sets grain size in the reverse mode and the rate of random pitch changes in Mode V.
Two feedback paths, set by Feedback and Regen, send the signal back through both effects before the output. Modes range from reverse delay into reverse grains to an analogue-style delay into octave-down grains, plus a multi-tap granular reverb. In Mode IV, the Time knob time-stretches both granular stages instead of setting a delay time.
The control set matches the Lore MKII: a Tweak menu for width, modulation and Dive / Rise, three onboard presets plus 127 over MIDI, full MIDI CC and an assignable expression input. Trails or No Trails bypass is selected at power-up. A black finish is offered alongside the grey one.
