Walrus Audio Fundamental Lo-Fi Delay is a compact delay pedal with three algorithms — AM, Murk, and Echo — built for degraded, modulated, and multi-tap repeats rather than clean digital echoes.
Time, Feedback, and Mix sliders set delay spacing (maximum one second), repeat count, and wet/dry balance. AM high-passes the repeats, adds light harmonic distortion, and applies dual wow-and-flutter modulation so echoes thin as they decay. Murk rolls off the high end with heavier distortion and low-frequency modulation for denser, darker trails. Echo is a multi-tap delay: short times bunch into dense ambience between echo and reverb; longer times open into syncopated patterns.
Hold the bypass switch until the LED flashes to enter tap mode; the same switch then taps tempo, and the three-way switch selects quarter-note, dotted-eighth, or eighth divisions while tap mode is active. Trails mode is on by default and can be toggled by holding the footswitch when applying power. Bypass is buffered.
Released in September 2026 as part of the Fundamental Series.
