The Type knob selects one of 11 amp types, each paired with a Celestion Digital impulse response. Some follow well-known amps, such as a Fender Twin Reverb or Marshall 1959 Super Lead. Others are BOSS originals, including a high-gain Brown type from the Katana series. The tone controls work like an amp's front panel, and Ambience adds room space.

A send and return loop sits after the amp stage, so modulation, delay and reverb pedals process the amp sound rather than feed it. The TRS return accepts a stereo signal and passes it to both outputs. User IRs replace the stock cabinets through a desktop app over USB-C.

Pressing the footswitch toggles between two amp and cabinet setups, and holding it bypasses the pedal. The amp and cabinet sections can each be switched off. Over USB-C, the pedal also works as an audio interface for recording.
