NS-2 Noise Suppressor

Analog VCA and envelope detection cut noise more smoothly than a hard gate. A send/return loop lets the clean input trigger suppression while noisy gain pedals sit in the loop.

Threshold sets when suppression starts; Decay sets how fast the signal fades to silence. Mode switches between Reduction (effect on/off with the footswitch) and Mute (silence for tuning or breaks).

Owners get the best results with dirt pedals in the loop and time-based effects after the NS-2. Running it incorrectly can choke highs or sustain, and the loop cabling adds board complexity. A DC OUT jack can daisy-chain other pedals when a PSA adaptor is used.
