Keeley Compressor Plus Germanium is a blend compressor pedal that puts a Japanese-style germanium transistor into the Compressor Plus circuit. Keeley released it in 2026 to mark 25 years since its first compressor.

The germanium device sits in two places: the audio output stage and the side-chain feedback loop that tells the compressor how hard to work. That makes the change a circuit revision rather than a cosmetic anniversary run, so the response of the compression itself differs from the standard Compressor Plus.
Level, Compression, Tone and Blend follow the familiar Compressor Plus layout. Blend mixes the dry signal back in, so a player can add sustain while keeping the pick attack, or turn it fully wet for an obvious squashed sound. Tone shapes the top end of the compressed signal, and a centre toggle offers single-coil and humbucker voicings.
Holding the footswitch selects true bypass or buffered bypass, which helps on long cable runs or boards that already rely on a buffer. Two finishes are offered: brushed aluminium and a Transparent Black version sold only through the Keeley Custom Shop store.
