Pitch Shifter · Pitch & Synth · Released September 2025
BOSS XS-1 Poly Shifter is a pitch-shifting pedal that retunes whole chords in a compact enclosure. Released in 2025, it shares its pitch algorithms with the larger XS-100.

The Shift knob sets the interval, from seven semitones up or down to three octaves either way. A direction switch picks up or down. A Detune setting moves pitch by up to 20 cents for doubling.
For drop tunings or capo-style key changes, setting Balance fully to the effect avoids two clashing pitches. Octave settings suit some dry signal blended in, for 12-string or guitar-and-bass textures. Tracking holds on full chords, not only single notes.
A panel switch sets the footswitch for latching or momentary use. External footswitches can recall up to three tuning setups. An expression pedal turns the shift into a continuous bend.
