Dwell sets how hard the virtual springs are driven, from a mellow wash to an exaggerated splash. Tone is a low-pass filter on the reverb signal only, and Mix runs from fully dry to fully wet.
Volume sets the overall output and the gain of an all-discrete preamp, which works as a clean boost when the reverb is turned down. The three-knob layout of the original is extended by this fourth control.
An internal switch selects true bypass or buffered bypass. In buffered mode the reverb tails ring out after the pedal is switched off, and the preamp stays in the signal path.

Catalinbread Topanga is a spring reverb pedal that emulates the outboard Fender 6G15 reverb unit, including the drip and splash associated with surf guitar. The original ran in front of the amp, so its reverb is driven harder than built-in amp reverb.
