DigiTech Whammy 5 is a pitch-shifting expression pedal with Classic and Chords algorithms, sold separately from the Whammy DT drop-tune model.

The treadle bends Whammy, Harmony, or Detune ranges chosen on the selector knob. Classic suits single-note bends; Chords uses the polyphonic algorithm from the Whammy DT so full chords track more cleanly when the treadle moves.
A single Effect On/Off footswitch engages the selected path. MIDI input can select Whammy or Harmony settings and move expression position with continuous controller messages from an external controller.
True bypass is active when the effect is off. Enclosure size is 165 × 197 × 64 mm (6.5 × 7.75 × 2.5 in). This listing is the fifth-generation Whammy on digitech.com/dp/whammy/, not the Whammy DT.
