Length sets the decay, Diffuse spreads the reflections and Dampen darkens the tail. Reflect sets the regeneration and can self-oscillate, and Mix balances dry and effected signal. Drag separates the delay lines: clockwise gathers them into a reverb, counterclockwise pulls them apart into scattered ping-pong repeats.
The V3 revision adds a Mode control that changes how Drag behaves, with nine settings. Three are unquantized and six are quantized to scales, octaves or fifths. An expression pedal or control voltage on the EXP jack can move Drag during play.
Bypass is buffered, a switch chooses whether the tail is kept after bypass, and the footswitch works as latching or momentary. Earlier V1 and V2 versions are separate models. Related pedals from the same maker include the Towers and the Dispatch Master.

EarthQuaker Devices Afterneath V3 is an experimental reverb pedal that builds its reverb from a cluster of short digital delays. The settings range from scattered, rhythmic repeats to a dense ambient wash, and the dry signal path stays analog.
