The original Time Shadows of 2020 was limited to 1,000 units and had two modes. This permanent version adds a third mode, six preset slots and an assignable expression input.

Each side of the mode switch comes from a different designer. EQD Mode, by Jamie Stillman, distorts the input, adds a polyphonic sub-octave, delays it and runs it through an envelope-controlled resonant low-pass filter. DBA Mode, by Oliver Ackermann of Death By Audio, is a multi-delay with a regenerating filter. The new middle mode is a dual delay whose repeats shift up and down in pitch with each regeneration.

Time, Span and Filter appear in every mode but act differently in each. In the middle mode, Filter sets the mix. Presets store the knobs, mode and expression assignment, and a TRS expression pedal can control Time, Span or Filter.
