Lightspeed Organic Overdrive

Three knobs set output, gain and a Freq control that tilts the voicing darker or brighter. At low gain the pedal can sit close to the dry signal. That makes it useful as an always-on drive or a push for an amp already near breakup.

The clipping follows pick attack closely, and turning down the guitar volume clears the sound up. Single-coil and humbucker guitars both suit it. The circuit board is sealed in epoxy, so the parts cannot be traced or swapped.

Greer offers the Lightspeed in many enclosure finishes with the same circuit inside. The Gameday Black and Silver Britches editions use red LEDs instead of the standard colour. Touring players using it include Peter Stroud and Alex Weeden.
