MXR Randy Rhoads Distortion+ (RR104) is a limited-edition distortion pedal matched to the Distortion+ from Randy Rhoads' own pedalboard. The polka-dot finish is based on his Flying V guitar.

The Rhoads family opened Randy's pedalboard for the MXR design team for the first time in 42 years. Engineers documented his vintage unit at the family's Musonia School of Music in Los Angeles, with his sister Kathy Rhoads involved throughout.
Rhoads used the Distortion+ to hit a high-gain amp with extra harmonics, a key part of his lead sound. As on the standard Distortion+, Output and Distortion are the only controls. Low Distortion with high Output pushes an amp, while higher settings move toward fuzz-like saturation.
The box includes a collector's booklet and a certificate of authenticity. A later special edition, the RR104C, uses a white finish inspired by Rhoads' Jackson Concorde guitar, with gold knobs.
