Four MODE presets cover two clean and two drive voices. CLN2 is the default clear clean; CLN1 uses a mid-focused EQ for a tighter clean. Edge adds moderate clipping that responds strongly to the Input Gain slider and cleans up when guitar volume drops. Distortion supplies higher-gain overdrive and sustain for leads. Compression amount rises with Input Gain, with a slow release on clean modes and a fast release on dirty modes. A Chorus button engages the same MN3007 bucket-brigade chorus chip used in the original unit.
An internal switch sets the OUTPUT jack to mono (default) or stereo. In stereo, a TRS splitter cable sends the selected MODE to both sides and varies the chorus between left and right. A CTRL jack accepts an offboard switch such as the MXR TRS Split + Tap for remote MODE changes. With a standard mono cable while stereo mode is selected, bypass cuts the signal.
Released in January 2025. Design work included veteran MXR engineer and former Scholz Research & Development alum Bob Cedro.
