MXR Smart Gate M135 is a noise gate pedal that cuts hiss, hum and buzz from high-gain amps and long pedal chains. The circuit senses when and how fast to engage, so note decays are not chopped off abruptly.

A three-way switch selects the type of noise reduction: Hiss, Mid or Full. Each setting targets a different part of the noise spectrum, so the gate can be matched to the rig.
The Trigger Level knob sets the threshold at which the gate closes. A Hi Trigger Range switch shifts that range for hotter signals. A yellow Gate LED lights when the gate is acting.
The pedal uses the classic MXR enclosure with a silver finish, a single black knob and two small switches. Hardwire bypass keeps the signal path direct when the gate is off.
