Strymon NightSky is a reverb pedal that can change the pitch and size of its reverb core in real time. Turning one knob makes the space larger and shifts its pitch together.
Three reverb textures set the starting point. Sparse leaves single reflections audible, Dense responds quickly like a plate, and Diffuse builds slowly into an ambient wash. Pitch changes can glide smoothly or snap to half steps and musical scales.
A Voice section adds Shimmer intervals, Glimmer harmonics and Drive saturation before or inside the reverb. A four-pole resonant low-pass filter then shapes the result like a synth. Six modulation shapes can move the core, its pitch or the filter.
The Infinite footswitch freezes the reverb input while new playing is still processed on top. An eight-step sequencer with glide can repitch that frozen sound in steps. Morph sweeps between two sets of knob positions, and MIDI gives access to the full preset bank.
