Tubesteader Beekeeper is a dual-channel D-style tube preamp with a Clean path that feeds a cascaded Overdrive path.

The Clean channel starts from a Fender-style foundation with a gentle midrange lift: open headroom at lower gain, then transparent overdrive as gain rises. The Overdrive channel stacks thicker harmonics and note bloom as gain climbs. Balancing CLN VOL against OD sets how hard the Clean stage drives the Overdrive stage.
A shared Skyline EQ revises the classic passive three-band tone stack for less knob interaction, and the EQ plus Mid and Boost toggles affect both channels. A side Tone Cut rolls off treble when the unit sits in front of an amp; a 3.5 mm TRS jack on the same side handles external channel (tip) and bypass (ring) switching.
Use cases cover front-of-amp, power-amp return, or cab-sim / IR loader. True bypass keeps the path intact when the preamp is off. The voicing leans blues and jazz but covers a wider range of styles.
