Wampler Ego Compressor is a compressor pedal that adds a Blend control for mixing the uncompressed signal back in. That parallel approach keeps the attack of each note while still adding sustain.

Five knobs set the response. Sustain sets the amount of compression, and Attack runs from fast to slow. Tone shapes the brightness, Volume sets the output level and Blend sets the dry mix.
Settings range from heavy, squashed country-style compression to subtle levelling of a clean part. With little compression and the volume raised, the pedal can also act as a clean boost.
The Ego is built in the USA and has top-mounted jacks to save pedalboard space. The blue enclosure carries the Ego eye graphic, five white knobs and a true bypass footswitch.
