About TC Electronic
From the mid-1980s the company expanded into studio and live processing, including the TC2290 digital delay and later the System 6000 dynamics and effects platform. On the instrument side it introduced TonePrint-enabled pedals, the PolyTune polyphonic tuner and the Ditto looper, which became widely used practice and live tools.
The TC Group was formed in 1998 and grew to include other pro-audio brands. In 2015 Music Group (later Music Tribe) acquired the TC Group, placing TC Electronic alongside brands such as Behringer, Midas and Turbosound while keeping the Danish founding story and effects catalogue. Players looking at chorus, delay, looping, tuning or loudness/processing gear still meet TC Electronic as a Denmark-origin line with both pedalboard and studio heritage.
