Bondi Effects Squish As Compressor is a mono compressor built around a Blackmer VCA and a true-RMS detector. A dry blend sits beside the compressed path for parallel compression. The circuit dates from 2023. Response runs from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, so the pedal covers guitar, bass, and synth.

Output is makeup gain, from -20 dB to +20 dB. Noon matches the dry level when the compressor is idle. Ratio runs from 1:1 to limiting, and noon is 4:1. Sensitivity is the threshold, from -6.3 dBu to -46.3 dBu. Sound under that threshold is not compressed.
Tone is a tilt centred at 900 Hz, and it changes only the compressed signal. Blend moves from a dry path to a fully compressed one. Six LEDs show gain reduction, from 2 dB to more than 20 dB. Harder notes shorten the attack. Release stays at 8 ms per decibel, so recovery is always slower than the attack.
A peak that needs 10 dB of reduction comes down in about 15 ms, then takes about 80 ms to recover. High ratios with some dry signal mixed back in give parallel compression. The footswitch is soft-touch true bypass. The case is 66 mm wide and 126.5 mm from the jacks to the footswitch.
