Overdrive · High Shredroom, a version of Sick As Overdrive mk3
Gain, bass, treble, and level shape the drive. Bass and treble form an active stack, and each control can boost or cut by 15 dB. A toggle sets the headroom. Up adds compression and distortion. Down eases that compression and leaves more bass.
An internal 18 V rail feeds the drive, so the extra gain still has headroom. The lowest gain setting is already a crunch, unlike a standard Sick As that can run clean. Into a clean amp, more gain makes the pedal supply the distortion. Into a driven amp, level pushes the front end and gain sets the presence.
Blackout uses the standard High Shredroom circuit in a different colour. The footswitch is soft-touch true bypass.
Bondi Effects Sick As High Shredroom is an overdrive that pushes a Sick As circuit further into distortion. Development with Earthling Designs narrowed the mid-range focus and opened the top and bottom. The gain sweep no longer reaches a clean setting. Neon Pink, Graphite, and Blackout are colour finishes of this same circuit.
