The Mode knob picks the short, medium or long range, and Delay Time sets the exact value within it. The short range runs from 12.5 to 50 ms, the medium from 50 to 200 ms, and the long from 200 to 800 ms. Feedback sets the number of repeats, while Effect Level sets their volume against the dry signal.
A fourth Mode position, Hold, repeats the delayed sound indefinitely. A short phrase can therefore keep cycling while you play over it, until the pedal is switched off.
A separate Direct Out jack provides the dry signal on its own. This allows a two-amp setup with dry and delayed sound split between them. Bypass is buffered rather than true bypass.
