Soft Focus Deluxe

The core sound is a large room reverb with mild pitch shifting and chorus-style modulation. The Deluxe restores the delay from the original patch, which the smaller pedal left out. A program knob selects variations such as infinite reverb, an extra chorus voice, shimmer and octave-up delay.

The op-amp distortion has its own footswitch and also works with the reverb side switched off. Series mode places it in front of the reverb engine. Parallel mode runs it as a second channel, and the Mix control balances the two. A multi-function jack takes an expression pedal or a tap-tempo switch.

Bypass is buffered with trails. Infinite reverb in program 2 keeps sounding after bypass until the reverb time is reduced. A slight switch pop can occur after power-up and settles after a few on/off cycles.
