The centre fuzz has four voices inspired by the Dallas Arbiter Fuzz Face, Vox Tone Bender, and Sola Sound Tone Bender Mk1.5 and MkII. The right section switches between a Rangemaster-style treble boost and an upper-octave fuzz. Its MOD button gives a fuller mid boost, or a louder octave voice inspired by the Foxx Tone Machine.
The fuzz and boost sections use metal-can silicon transistors in a piggyback circuit aimed at germanium-like response. Rolling back the guitar volume cleans the fuzz up, and the circuit stays stable in changing conditions. The left Drive section, with Drive, Tone and Master, plays the role of the driven amp.
Fuzz and boost each have an anti-buffer button. Engage it when a buffered pedal or active pickups come first, and leave it off with passive pickups plugged straight in. The drive can follow either footswitch or run on its own from an optional XT footswitch. All three sections use relay true bypass.

Crazy Tube Circuits Triptychon is a fuzz pedal that adds a treble booster or upper-octave fuzz and an amp-style drive in one enclosure. The layout recreates the classic chain of a fuzz or booster pushing an already driven valve amp, for rigs built around a clean amp.
