Each mode is a fully analogue circuit. A digitally controlled switching system reroutes 261 components through 40 switches, changing resistors, capacitors, diodes and op-amps for every mode.

The modes cover the original v1, the White Face v3, Turbo v5, BRAT v6 and You Dirty RAT v7. They also include the Ibanez LA Metal, the Landgraff MO'D, the Caroline Wave Cannon and a JHS modification.

Volume, Distortion and Filter work as on a RAT, with Filter acting as a low-pass treble cut. In the OG mode the control follows the v1 taper, where turning clockwise increases treble instead.
