Multi-Effects · Amp Modeler · Released 1 January 2015
Line 6 Helix Floor is a floor amp modeller and multi-effects processor that runs HX Modeling on dual SHARC DSPs. Released in 2015, it is the full-size floor unit in the Helix family, above the Helix LT.
Presets can use four stereo signal paths, enough to process up to four instruments at once with separate inputs and outputs. Snapshots store up to eight variations inside a preset and switch without the dropout of a preset change.
The footswitches are capacitive, so touching one selects its block for editing while pressing toggles it. Scribble strips above the footswitches show their assignments. The built-in expression pedal handles volume, wah or any assigned parameter.
Compared with Helix LT, the Floor adds scribble strips, an XLR mic input with phantom power and S/PDIF. It also adds an Aux input, a third expression jack and two extra send/return loops. Over USB, the unit works as a multichannel 24-bit/96 kHz audio interface with re-amping.
