MXR M226R Flanger/Doubler is an analog flanger pedal that recreates the original MXR rack unit with bucket-brigade delay chips and its full control set. A Doubler button switches between flanging and longer doubling delays.

Manual sets the average delay time, Width sets the sweep range, and Speed sets the sweep rate. Regen sets the amount of feedback, which raises the resonant peaks of the effect. Mix blends dry and wet signals, from fully dry to fully wet.
In Doubler mode the longer delay range covers chorus, vibrato and short slapback echo. An Invert button flips the polarity of the wet signal, producing hollow or mid-heavy variations of each setting. Two sweep LEDs show the current delay time, which helps when setting the pedal at stage volume.
CV In and CV Out jacks link the pedal with synths, sequencers and other CV-capable gear. The internal LFO can drive another device, or an external 0–5 V signal can drive the flanger. An Input Level switch adapts gain staging for instrument or line signals.
