The design follows the original 1974 four-stage phaser layout used through the late 1970s. Compared with later block-logo Phase 90 pedals, the script circuit is built for more headroom and clarity, with a smoother sweep and less midrange swell. A single Speed control sets the rate from slow swirls to faster motion; the footswitch engages true hardwire bypass with a red LED indicator.
Players who want the subtler script voice with stage-friendly status indication usually pick this LED model over the hand-wired '74 Vintage reissue. The block Phase 90 and the mini Phase 95 remain alternatives when a stronger resonant sweep or both script and block voices are needed.
Orange die-cast enclosure carries the classic black script logo, with mono instrument and amplifier jacks on the sides.
