The Distortion control spans roughly 15 to 76 dB of gain. That range lets the pedal act as a dirty boost at low settings and a high-gain distortion near the top. With Distortion turned down and Output raised, it can also push an amp or another pedal.
Bass, Mid and Treble each cut or boost their band, centred at 150 Hz, 500 Hz and 10 kHz. The separate Mid control decides whether the sound pushes forward in a band mix or takes on a scooped metal shape.
Bypass is true hardwire, so no buffer sits in the signal path when the pedal is off. The Super Badass name also covers the related Dynamic O.D. and Variac Fuzz models in the MXR range.
